Scope
GB/T 21930-2008 is the English-translated version of 地理标志产品 云锦.
GB/T 21930-2008 is the geographical indication product standard for Yunjin.
Clause 1 states that it specifies the scope of geographical indication protection, the terms and definitions, the grade, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage for Yunjin, and that it applies to the Yunjin approved as a protected geographical indication product by the administrative department of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine under the Provisions on the Protection of Geographical Indication Products.
Clause 3 draws the protected area as the approved one, namely the present administrative regions of the Xuanwu, Baixia, Qinhuai, Jianye and Qixia districts of Nanjing in Jiangsu, which Appendix A records.
Clause 4, Terms and Definitions, prints two entries: the first, whose term name the draft does not print, describes a handmade multiple weft yarn-dyed jacquard silk fabric made within the protected area from raw silk, gold and silver threads, peacock feather threads and other raw materials by a unique traditional technology on traditional floor looms and other flower-lifting equipment; the second names the flower house, the upper structure of the jacquard loom, which carries the worker who pulls the flower and performs the jacquard action, and through whose pulling the jacquard shedding is realised.
The draft breaks off after that definition, so the grade, the requirements and the test methods cannot be reported. Clause 2 cites GB/T 191, GB 250, GB/T 3920, GB/T 4666, GB/T 4667, GB 5296.4, GB/T 5711, GB/T 8427, GB/T 8685, FZ/T 01053 and Bulletin No. 151 of 2005 of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
The foreword says the standard was drawn up on the basis of order No. 78 of 2005 of that administration, the Provisions on the Protection of Geographical Indication Products, and of GB 17924-1999, the general requirements for geographical origin of products, and that Annexes A and B are normative.
The foreword states that this is the first publication of the standard. It was issued on 2008-06-03 and has applied since 2008-10-01.

Foreword
This standard is based on the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine 2005 78 orders "geographical indication protection regulations" and press GB 17924-1999 "General requirements for geographical origin of products" provisions of the preparation formulation.
This standard Annex A, Annex B normative appendix.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the scope of protection of geographical indications brocade products, terms and definitions, grade, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, Packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard applies to the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine administrative department under the "geographical indication protection regulations" approved by the Protected Geographical Brocade flag product.

4 Terms and Definitions
