3.Tests and Evaluation", and is consistent with GB/T 21001.3-2015. Compared to previous versions, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---The scope of application of the standard has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2015 edition);

1 Scope

GB/T 21001.3-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering how a supermarket display cabinet is tested and rated - the climate class of the test room, the temperature classes the product must hold in every package position, the energy consumption measured over 24 hours and the defrost cycles included in it. Display cabinets run continuously and are a large part of a supermarket's electricity bill, which is why the rating method matters commercially. It replaces GB/T 21001.3-2015. It was issued on 27 February 2026 and has been in force since 1 September 2026, replacing GB/T 21001.3-2015. The document is under the responsibility of the China National Light Industry Council.
