Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document supersedes GB/T 20641-2014 "General Requirements for Empty Enclosures of Low-Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies", and is consistent with...
Compared with GB/T 20641-2014, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---The regulations concerning electric shock protection have been amended, introducing the concepts of Class I and Class II enclosures, and correspondingly increasing the requirements for such enclosures.
Summation experiments (see 3.10, 3.11, 8.5, 9.11, 9.12; 8.5, 8.6, 9.10, 9.11 in the 2014 edition);
---Added requirements for thermal dissipation capability in the information provided about the housing, and changed the type testing requirements for thermal dissipation capability (see...).
Versions 6.3.7, 9.15 (version 9.14 of 2014);
---Static load requirements have been changed (see 8.2, 9.4, and 8.2, 9.4 in the 2014 version);
---Added relevant requirements for corrosion resistance in structures and designs (see 8.8);
---Added relevant requirements for enclosures constructed or covered with insulating materials in the structure and design (see 8.9);
---Type testing requirements for mechanical operation have been added (see 9.6);
---The type testing requirements for UV radiation resistance have been changed (see 9.13, 9.12 in the 2014 version).
This document adopts IEC 62208:2023 "General requirements for empty enclosures of low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies".
