Scope

GB/T 20564.12-2019 is the English-translated version of 汽车用高强度冷连轧钢板及钢带 第12部分:增强成形性双相钢.

GB/T 20564.12-2019 is Part 12 of the Chinese standard for continuously cold rolled high strength steel sheet and strip for automobiles, and covers dual phase steel with high formability, designated DH.

It gives the terms and definitions, the classification and designation method, the ordering contents, the dimensions, shape and weight, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the packaging, marking and quality certificate.

The steel it describes has a microstructure of mainly ferrite, martensite and a small amount of retained austenite or bainite. It applies to sheet and strip 0.50 mm to 3.00 mm thick used for complex-formed automotive structural parts and reinforcements. It was issued on 25 March 2019 and has applied since 1 February 2020.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

3.1 dual phase steel with high formability; DH

Steel of which the microstructure is mainly ferrite, martensite and a small amount of retained austenite or bainite.

NOTE: Compared with dual phase steel of the same tensile strength, it has higher elongation after fracture and work hardening index. It is suitable for part forming with high drawing requirements.
