Scope
GB/T 20524-2018 is the English-translated version of 农林小气候观测仪.
GB/T 20524-2018 is the Chinese national standard for agriculture and forest microclimate measuring instruments, the stations that observe the climate of the air layer and soil in farmland, forests, orchards, pastures and agricultural facilities.
It defines gradient observation, photosynthetically active radiation, agriculture and forest microclimate and total radiation.
It sets the technical requirements for composition, structure and functions, the technical indicators for measurands such as air temperature, air humidity, water temperature, wind speed, wind direction and soil moisture, and the requirements for electrical safety, clock accuracy, power supply and environmental adaptability.
It also gives the test methods, the inspection rules, packaging and marking, and transport, storage and stacking. It applies to the development, production and acceptance of these instruments.
It replaces GB/T 20524-2006, was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 20524-2006 "Agricultural and Forestry Microclimate Observatory". This standard is compared with GB/T 20524-2006, the main technology The changes are as follows.
--- Revised the terms "gradient observation", "photosynthetically active radiation" and "microclimate" (see 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3, 2006 editions 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3);
--- Added the term "total radiation" (see 3.4);
--- Revised the technical requirements "composition" (see 4.1, version 4.1 of 2006);
--- Revised the technical requirements "structure" (see 4.2.1, 4.2.1 of the 2006 edition);
--- Revised the technical requirements "functions" (see 4.3, 4.3 of the 2006 edition);
--- Change the technical requirements "performance" to "technical indicators", and add technical requirements for water temperature, wind direction and soil moisture in this part.
(See 4.4, 4.4.4, 4.4.5 and 4.4.8, 4.4 of the 2006 edition);
--- Revised the maximum allowable error of the technical indicator "air temperature" (see 4.4.1, 4.4.1 of the 2006 edition);
--- Change the technical indicator "relative humidity" to "air humidity" and modify the maximum allowable error (see 4.4.2, 2006 edition) 4.4.2);
--- Modified the measurement range of the technical index "wind speed", the maximum allowable error, the starting wind speed, and removed the wind resistance (see 4.4.6, 2006). Version 4.4.4);
---Modified the "insulation resistance" in the technical requirements "Electrical Safety" (see 4.5.1, 4.5.1 of the 2006 edition);
--- Revised the technical requirements "maximum allowable error of clock travel time" (see 4.6, 4.6 of 2006 edition);
--- Modified the power supply adaptability "DC power supply" (see 4.7.2, 4.7.2 of the 2006 version);
--- Revised the environmental adaptability "work environment" (see 4.8.1, 4.9.1 of the 2006 edition);
--- Increased test methods "water temperature", "soil moisture" and "wind direction" (see 5.4.1, 5.4.3 and 5.4.4);
--- Change the test method "performance" to "technical indicators", and test the technical indicators such as "air temperature", "air humidity" and "wind direction" The preparation and test methods refer to relevant standards (see 5.4, 5.4 of 2006 edition);
--- Removed the logo "National Production License Mark" (see.2006 version 7.2.4).
