Scope

GB/T 19314.7-2019 is the English-translated version of 小艇 艇体结构和构件尺寸 第7部分:多体船尺寸的确定.

GB/T 19314.7-2019 is Part 7 of GB/T 19314 and covers the scantlings of multihull craft. It specifies the determination of design loads, pressures, stresses and component sizes for multihull craft whose hull length, measured to GB/T 19916, is not more than 24 m, and applies to boats with a speed of no more than 50 kn in the fully loaded condition.

It covers the structural integral components and highly loaded areas such as ballast keels, centreboards, rudders and chainplates. It is for newly built boats only and does not apply to hydrofoils, small waterplane area catamarans or surface effect craft.

It sets the design categories A, B and C by wave height and wind force, and cites GB/T 19314.5-2019, GB/T 19314.6-2019, GB/T 19314.8, GB/T 19314.9 and GB/T 19916. Issued on 10 May 2019, it has applied since 1 December 2019.

Foreword

GB/T 19314 "Small boat hull structure and component size" is divided into 9 parts.

--- Part 1. Materials. thermosetting resins, glass fiber reinforced plastics, reference laminates;

--- Part 2. Materials. core materials for embedded structures, embedded materials;

--- Part 3. Materials. steel, aluminum alloy, wood, other materials;

--- Part 4. Workshop and manufacturing;

--- Part 5. Determination of design pressure, design stress and component size of single vessel;

--- Part 6. Structural arrangements and details;

--- Part 7. Determination of the size of a multi-hull vessel;

--- Part 8. Rudder;

--- Part 9. Sailboat possession.

This part is part 7 of GB/T 19314.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 19314 specifies the design load and pressure of a multi-hull ship with a hull length of not more than 24 m measured according to GB/T 19916. Determination of force, stress and component size.

This section applies to boats with full displacement and a speed of no more than 50 kn under full conditions. When assessing stability, freeboard and buoyancy, all structures integral components, other high-load areas (eg, ballast keels, mid-water slabs, rudders, chain plates, etc.), usually including watercraft or water all parts of the rain. This section only applies to new boats.

This section does not apply to hydrofoil, small waterplane catamaran and surface effect vessels.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Design category

The design of the boat to be assessed in accordance with this section is divided according to applicable sea conditions and wind power. Assume that the boat is driving correctly, speed and main sea conditions adapted.

3.1.1 Design category A ("Ocean")

Suitable for sailing on a sea with a high wave height of more than 4m and a wind speed exceeding the level of Beaufort but excluding anomalies such as hurricanes.

Note: Calculate the wave height to take 7m.

3.1.2 Design category B ("offshore")

It is suitable for sailing in a sea with a wave height of no more than 4m and a wind speed not exceeding the level of Beaufort.

3.1.3 Design Category C ("Coastal")

It is suitable for sailing in a sea with a wave height of no more than 2m and a wind speed not exceeding the level of Beaufort.
