Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part
1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document supersedes GB/T 13412-1992 "Technical Conditions for Rowing Boats, Kayaks, Canoeing Boats and Their Accessories" and is consistent with GB/T 13412-1992. Compared to previous versions, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) Added terms and definitions such as "accessories" and "paddle rack" (see 3.4, 3.11~3.17);
b) Increased appearance requirements for racing boats, kayaks, and canoeing boats (see 5.1);
c) The classifications of rowing, kayaking, and canoeing have been revised, and requirements have been proposed for each classification (see Chapters 4 and 5,.1992 edition, page 3). Chapter 4);
d) Increased the deflection requirements and testing for airfoil rotor arms (see
5.2.7 and 6.2.9.2);
e) The longitudinal center of gravity determination test for the boat was changed to a still water level test (see 6.2.2,
5.2.2 in the.1992 edition);
f) Added tests for boat torsion, main rib opening distance, and oar hang distance (see

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 rowing The boat is shaped like a shuttle used for weaving, with movable seats inside. The oars are placed on oarlocks in oarlock racks that extend to the sides of the boat, and the oarsmen are seated. Drive by paddling with the paddle plug as the axis, facing away from the direction of travel.
3.2 kayak The boat has a streamlined shape and a narrow hull. The forward cabin is equipped with footrests and a rudder, the midships have seats, and the aft cabin has a rudder. Oarsmen... The boat is driven by sitting facing forward and using a paddle with blades at both ends to alternately paddle left and right.
3.3 canoe The boat has a streamlined hull and an interior floor for the rowers to move around on. The floor is equipped with kneeling pads and footrests, allowing the rowers to kneel on one leg. It is used to propel a boat by paddling with a blade at one end.
3.4 Attachments Facilities and equipment used in conjunction with the vessel, excluding the vessel's hull structure.
Note. Accessories used with racing boats include oars, oarlocks, oar bolts, slide rails, and slide seats; accessories used with kayaks include oars, seats, footrests, and steering wheels. Rudder, rudder post, rudder line; accessories used with rowing boats include oars, floorboards, kneeling pads, and footrests.
3.5 Length of boat The distance from the leading edge of the bow (excluding the safety ball) to the trailing edge of the stern.
3.6 boat width The maximum width between the outer surfaces of the two sides of the hull, excluding the wave deflectors.
