Scope
GB/T 18997.2-2020 is the English-translated version of 铝塑复合压力管 第2部分:铝管对接焊式铝塑管.
GB/T 18997.2-2020 is the Chinese national standard on plastic/aluminum/ plastic composite pressure pipes - part 2: composite pipes butt-welded by aluminum pipe, in the field of rubber and plastic industries. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 19 November 2020 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 June 2021. Classification: ICS 83.140.30, CCS G33. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword
GB/T 18997 "Aluminum-plastic composite pressure pipe" is divided into two parts.
1.Aluminum pipe lap welded aluminum-plastic pipe;
2.Butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipe of aluminum pipe. This part is Part 2 of GB/T 18997. This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This part replaces GB/T 18997.2-2003 "Aluminum-plastic composite pressure pipe Part
2.Aluminum pipe butt welded aluminum-plastic pipe", and Compared with GB/T 18997.2-2003, the main technical changes are as follows:
---Modified the type of aluminum-plastic pipe and made further regulations on its application range (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2003 edition);
---Added and updated relevant normative references (see Chapter 2, Chapter 2 of the.2003 edition);
---Modify the definitions of Type I Aluminum Plastic Pipe, Type II Aluminum Plastic Pipe, Type III Aluminum Plastic Pipe and Type IV Aluminum Plastic Pipe (see 3.2~3.5,.2003 edition 3.1.2~3.1.5);
---Added random copolymer polypropylene butt welding aluminum-plastic composite pressure pipe and related technical requirements (see Chapter 5 and Chapter 7);
---Modified the classification of butt welded aluminum-plastic pipes (see 5.1,
4.1 in the.2003 edition);
---Added the use condition level (see 5.2.1);
---The working conditions of butt welded aluminum-plastic pipes for cold water and hot and cold water are modified, and the design pressure is given according to the use condition level 1, 2, 4, and 5 (see 5.2.2,
4.1.1 of the.2003 version);
---Modified "long-term working temperature" to "design temperature" and "allowable working pressure" to "design pressure", and modified the aluminum plastic for gas The temperature value of the tube has increased the classification of compressed air (see 5.2.2, 5.2.3, and

This part of GB/T 18997 specifies that the embedded butt welded aluminum pipe is used as the reinforced metal layer, and the inner and outer layers of plastic are combined by co-extrusion hot melt adhesive. Terms and definitions, symbols and abbreviations, classifications, conditions of use and markings for aluminum-plastic composite pressure pipes (abbreviated as butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes) made of composite materials Materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage. This section applies to heat-resistant polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes, cross-linked polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes and random copolymer polypropylene used in cold and hot water distribution systems. Olefin butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes are also suitable for polyethylene pairs for cold water, gas, compressed air and special fluid distribution systems whose working temperature is not higher than 40°C. Welded aluminum-plastic pipe and cross-linked polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipe.
Note. Polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipe, heat-resistant polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipe, and cross-linked polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipe are mechanically connected by internal sealing, and random copolymerization of polypropylene The welded aluminum-plastic pipe adopts double-sided hot-melt socket connection.
