Scope
GB/T 18418-2017 is the English-translated version of 家用卫生杀虫用品 电热蚊香液.
GB/T 18418-2017 covers electrothermal vaporizing liquids for household insect control: a bottle of liquid with a wick heated by a matching electric heater, which releases the active ingredient as a vapour to repel mosquitoes.
It sets requirements for the bottle and its thread dimensions, the odour and clarity of the liquid, tightness, free fall, evaporation rate over the stated duration and the electric heater, with test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transport, storage and instructions for use.
Normative Annex A deals with the heater itself: appearance, operating temperature and its deviation, voltage fluctuation, protection against live parts, input power, heating, leakage current, electric strength, power cords and plugs, creepage distances, heat resistance and marking.
It replaces GB/T 18418-2009, was issued on 29 December 2017 and has applied since 1 April 2018.
