1 Scope

This document defines the basic terms and definitions of water passenger transport, as well as the basic terms and definitions of ships, routes, facilities, transportation, ticketing, baggage, fees, etc. Key terms and definitions in the areas of revenue and insurance, statistical surveys and service quality. This document applies to the operation and management of water passenger transport.

3 Basic Terminology

3.1 passenger passenger A person who enters into a transportation contract with a carrier, pays the ticket price or transportation fee, and accepts the transportation services provided by the carrier.

3.2 Water passenger transport The process of transporting passengers and their luggage from one port (station) to another by water using suitable passenger ships.

3.3 Water passenger carriers (3.5) transport passengers and their luggage from one port (station) to another by water using vessels suitable for transporting passengers. The agreement stipulates that the passenger shall pay the relevant fees at the port (station).

3.4 Water passenger transport carriers (3.5) collect freight and are responsible for transporting passengers' checked luggage from one port (station) to another via waterway. protocol.

3.5 Water passenger transport carrier An organization that, in its own name or through another person, signs a passenger transport contract by water (3.3) or a luggage transport contract by water (3.4) with a passenger or individuals.

3.6 agent An organization or individual authorized by the principal to enter into a contract with a third party or perform other civil legal obligations on his or her behalf.

Note. The rights and obligations arising from the agency act are directly effective against the principal.

3.7 An organization or individual whose main business is ship operation and is engaged in water transportation of passengers and cargo.
