This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting: This document replaces GB/T 16620-1996 "Terms for Forest Tree Breeding and Seed Management": Compared with GB/T 16620-1996, except for the structure In addition to adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Deleted some uncommon terms (see 2:18, 2:31, 2:43, 3:12, 3:14, 5:3~5:8, 7:9, 8:4, 8:5, 8:9~8:11, 9:15, 9:29, 9:30, 10:15, 11:7~11:9, 14:16, 14:17);
