Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 16568-2006 "Hygiene Standard for Dairy Farms". Compared with GB/T 16568-2006, the main differences are structural adjustments and revisions. Aside from the logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2006 edition);

---Added terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);

---The content related to "Environment and Facilities" has been revised, adding a requirement for dairy farms to conduct risk assessments of animal disease prevention conditions (see section 4). (Chapter

1 Scope

GB/T 16568-2025 is the Chinese national standard on veterinary sanitation specification for dairy farms, in the field of health care technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 31 October 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 May 2026. Classification: ICS 11.220, CCS B41. This document specifies the site selection and layout of dairy farms, biosecurity zoning, hygiene management, system establishment and training, and other aspects related to veterinary hygiene. The technical requirements related to management describe the verification methods for record and file management. This document applies to the veterinary hygiene management of dairy farms with more than 500 head of cattle. Other dairy farms should refer to this document for implementation.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 In dairy farming, to effectively prevent and respond to threats from dangerous biological agents and related factors, and to reduce the risk of disease introduction, transmission, and spread... To ensure biosecurity and the hygiene of the aquaculture environment, biosecurity zoning management is implemented for animals, personnel, transportation vehicles, and production materials. Comprehensive prevention and control measures, including cleaning, disinfection, and isolation.

3.2 Dairy farm biosecurity In dairy farming, to effectively prevent and respond to threats from dangerous biological agents and related factors, and to reduce the risk of disease introduction, transmission, and spread. Risk refers to the collective technical measures taken, such as isolation, cleaning, and disinfection.
