Scope

GB/T 16155-2018 is the English-translated version of 民用水暖煤炉性能试验方法.

GB/T 16155-2018 sets out how to test domestic water heating coal stoves for thermal performance and air pollutant emissions.

It covers stoves burning clean coal such as briquettes and washed coal, with a rated heat supply below 50 kW, working at normal pressure, with a height of no more than 10 m and an outlet water temperature not above 85 °C; stoves that also cook can follow it by reference.

It lists the test equipment, from buckets, scales and mercury thermometers to anemometers, soot testers, flue gas analysers and evaporation pans sized by fire intensity, and the preparation for the test.

Compared with the earlier edition it simplifies the cooking intensity test and adds emission detection. It replaces GB/T 16155-2005, was issued on 6 February 2018 and has applied since 1 September 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB 16155-2005 "The test method for the thermal performance of civil water heating coal stoves." This standard is compared with GB 16155-2005.

In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Simplified trial methods for cooking intensity (see Chapter 5, 2005 edition of Appendix A);

--- Added "Air Pollutant Emission Detection" (see Chapter 6).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the thermal performance of coal-fired heating coal furnaces and air pollutant emission detection methods.

This standard applies to clean coals such as coal briquettes, washing coal, and other fuels. The rated heat supply is less than 50 kW, and the rated working pressure is normal pressure.

Coal water heaters with a height of no more than 10m and an outlet water temperature not higher than 85°C. The civil heating coal stove with cooking function can be implemented by reference.

2 Normative references

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this document. For undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Test equipment and preparation

3.1 Test Equipment

The test equipment is as follows.

a) 2 buckets, capacity 0.01m³;

b) One Taiwan scale, measuring range 0kg~10kg, sense capacity 0.005kg;

c) One clock, the difference is less than 1min;

d) Two mercury thermometers, measuring range 0 °C ~ 100 °C, dividing value 0.2 °C;

e) One anemometer, measuring range 0m/s~10m/s, accuracy 0.5m/s;

f) 1 soot (gas) tester;

g) 1 flue gas analyzer;

h) One evaporation pan. The initial pot water volume Gc1 and the evaporation pot diameter are determined according to the fire intensity of the cooking stove, as shown in Table 1.
