GB/T 15967-2024 is the Chinese national standard on specifications for digital aerial photogrammetric mapping of 1:500 1:1000 1:2000 topographic maps, in the field of natural and applied sciences. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 28 May 2024 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 September 2024. Classification: ICS 07.040, CCS A 77. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting: This document replaces GB/T 15967-2008 "1:5001:10001:2000 topographic map aerial photogrammetry digital mapping specification" Compared with GB/T 15967-2008, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Changed the mapping operation from "analytical aerial photogrammetry method" to "digital aerial photogrammetry method" The content and scope of application of the standard have been changed accordingly (see Chapter 1);

b) Added digital surface model (DSM), digital elevation model (DEM), digital orthophoto (DOM), digital line map (DLG) etc: (see Chapter 4);

c) The description of the specifications and requirements for the results has been changed (see 5:1, 3:1 of the:2008 edition);

d) The accuracy of digital mapping of 1:500, 1:1000 and 1:2000 topographic maps using analytical aerial photogrammetry has been deleted: Requirements, online data collection requirements, etc: (see 3:2, 3:3 and Chapter 6 of the:2008 edition);

e) Added the frame-based digital aerial photogrammetry method for 1:500, 1:1000, 1:2000 DSM, DEM, Operation contents and technical requirements of DOM and DLG production (see Chapters 8, 9, 10 and 11);

f) Added requirements for the production of metadata, calendar books, technical summaries, etc: (see Chapter 12);

g) The relevant contents of quality control have been modified (see Chapter 13, 8:1 of the:2008 edition);
