GB/T 15962-2018 is the English-translated version of 油墨术语.

GB/T 15962-2018 is the Chinese national vocabulary for printing ink. It defines terms in three groups: the types of ink, the components that make up an ink, and the properties by which ink performance is described.

The ink types range from printing ink in general to letterpress, flexographic ink for paper and for film, resin letterpress ink, offset ink, sheet-fed and web offset inks and heat-set web inks.

It is meant for ink production and application, research, teaching, publishing and the drafting of standards, and for technical exchanges in China and abroad. Compared with the previous edition it adds and revises a number of terms and removes others.

It replaces GB/T 15962-2008, was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.
