Scope

GB/T 15092.4-2023 is the English-translated version of 器具开关 第2-4部分:独立安装开关的特殊要求.

GB/T 15092.4-2023 is Part 2-4 of the Chinese series on appliance switches, and gives the particular requirements for independently mounted switches - those fixed to a wall, a bracket or a machine frame rather than built into the appliance they control. Because they are installed by whoever puts the appliance in, the switch has to be safe in mountings its maker never saw, and the protection against contact and the terminal arrangements have to hold up under wiring done in the field. The standard follows the clause structure of the general standard, setting the particular requirements for rating, classification, marking and documentation, protection against electric shock, earthing, terminals, construction, mechanism, endurance, mechanical strength, abnormal operation and fault conditions, and the switching components. It took effect on 1 March 2024.

1 Scope

Except for the following content, Chapter 1 of GB/T 15092.1-2020 applies. Increase. This document applies to electrical appliances and other electrical appliances with a rated voltage not higher than 480V and a rated current not higher than 63A for household or similar purposes. A mechanical or electronic independently installed switch used by the equipment, driven or controlled by hands, feet or other human body movements. This type of switch is operated by a person through an actuator or by an excitation sensor device. The actuator or sensor device is physically or electrically Pneumatically combined with the switch, it can also be configured separately. It may also include actuators or signal transmission between the sensor and the switch, such as. electrical , light, sound or temperature signal transmission. Switches with additional control functions subject to the control of the switch function are within the scope of this document. This document also covers indirectly driven switches, where the operation of the actuator or sensor device is by a remote control, appliance or part of the equipment (e.g. door) to reach. Note

1.Electronic switches can be combined with mechanical switches that provide full disconnection or micro-disconnection. Note

2.Electronic switches without mechanical switches in the power circuit only provide electronic disconnection. Therefore, the circuit on the load side is always considered live. Note

3.Additional requirements may be required for switches used in tropical climates. Note

4.Note that appliance standards may contain additional or alternative requirements for switches. Note

5.In this document, the word "appliance" refers to "appliance or equipment".
