Foreword

This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaces GB/T 15067.2-1994 Stainless steel cutlery. Compared with GB/T 15067.2-1994, the main technical modifications are as follows: - deleted product grade classification (Clause 4 of Edition 1994); - subdivided the appearance requirements in the previous edition into size, shape, appearance and surface roughness and made relevant provisions; - modified the requirements for corrosion resistance, blade hardness. 1 Scope

GB/T 15067.2-2016 is the Chinese national standard on stainless steel cutlery, in the field of domestic and commercial equipment, entertainment, sport. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 13 December 2016 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 July 2017. This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marks, packaging, transport, storage of stainless steel cutlery. This Standard is applicable to cutlery that the part contacting with food is made and processed of stainless steel.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 15067.1 apply.

4 Requirements

4.1 Food safety indicators Shall comply with the relevant national standards for food safety regulations.

5 Test methods

5.1 Test of food safety indicators Carry out the test in accordance with relevant national standards for food safety or other national standards for testing methods.

5.2 Test of size, shape and appearance It shall use visual inspection and universal gauge to test under normal light.

5.3 Test of surface roughness Compare according to roughness standard sample or carry out the test according to the apparatus specified in GB/T 6062. At the time of arbitration, the test shall be carried out according to GB/T 6062.
