Scope
GB/T 14014-2008 is the English-translated version of 合成纤维筛网.
GB/T 14014-2008 specifies how synthetic fibre bolting cloths (screening meshes woven from nylon or polyester filament in hopsack or plain weave, including flour bolting cloths) are designated by model and specification, together with their requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage; it applies to the assessment of their quality.
The requirements cover width, thread density, breaking strength, elongation at break and appearance defects, with first and second grade tolerances for each and an 18-item defect table covering missing ends, reed marks, weft bars, broken picks, slubs, broken selvedges, stains and holes.
Width and length are measured by GB/T 4667 and GB/T 4666, density by GB/T 4668 and tensile properties by GB/T 3923.1; defects are inspected on a black inspection table under controlled lighting, and lots are sampled by GB/T 2828.1 at AQL 4.0.
The normative annexes give the models, wire diameters, densities and minimum breaking strengths of every specification.
It replaces GB/T 14014-1992: silk bolting cloths have been dropped from the title, 62 JPP, DFP and DPP specifications and the JMP, JMG and DMP flour cloth models have been added, and wire diameter has been added to the annex tables.

Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 14014-1992, Silk and synthetic fibre bolting cloths.
Compared with GB/T 14014-1992, the main changes in this standard are as follows:
— the title of the standard has been changed from "Silk and synthetic fibre bolting cloths" to "Synthetic fibre bolting cloths";
— a foreword has been added;
— 62 product models and specifications of JPP, DFP and DPP bolting cloths have been added in Annex A;
— the models and specifications of JMP, JMG and DMP flour bolting cloths have been added in Annex B;
— the wire diameter item has been added in Annex A, Annex B and Annex E.
Annexes A, B and E of this standard are normative. Annexes C and D are informative.
This standard was proposed by the China National Textile Industry Council.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Silk Subcommittee of the National Technical Committee on Textiles of Standardization Administration of China.
