---The definition of the term "resource" has been changed (see 3.1, 3.2 of GB/T 25100-2010);

---Added terms and definitions for "element name", "tag", and "Uniform Resource Identifier" (see 3.3, 3.4, and 3.5);

---Abbreviations have been added (see Chapter 4);

---The label and definition of contributor have been changed (see 5.6, Table 1 of GB/T 25100-2010).

Introduction

GB/T 25100, "Information and Documentation. Dublin Core Metadata Element Set," aims to construct a universal metadata set covering various types of resources.

This specification aims to standardize the description methods and metadata elements of digital information, thereby achieving a unified description of resources nationwide and promoting the development of digital resources.

The process of standardizing and regulating the source.

GB/T 25100 is proposed to consist of two parts.

---Part 1: Core Elements. The aim is to establish a set of core metadata elements suitable for describing cross-domain resources.

---Part 2: DCMI Attributes and Classes. The aim is to establish a complete cross-domain resource description vocabulary, including DCMI meta-elements.

According to the terminology, all attributes and classes in the main namespace.

The 15 core elements described in this document are a series of metadata terms maintained by the Dublin Core Metadata Project (DCMI).

This is part of the table and technical specifications (see Appendix A).

In describing the core elements, this document uses the following conventions.

a) Each element has a descriptive label (i.e., "label") for human identification;

b) Each element has a unique name (i.e., "name") for machine processing;

c) Append the element name ("name") to the DCMI namespace according to the DCMI namespace policy [DCMI-NAMESPACE].

Within the URI, a Uniform Resource Identifier is formed, serving as a globally unique identifier for that element.

Within the context of the application framework specified in the DCMI abstract model [DCAM], core elements can be used with meta-elements in other compatible vocabularies.

The terms are used in combination.
