1 Scope

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Meteorological digital resources Information that can be recognized by computers and contains meteorological characteristics.

Note. This includes all matters arising during the course of carrying out work related to meteorology, such as Party affairs, management, operational technology, scientific research, infrastructure construction, instrumentation and equipment, and standards and metrology. Data types include text, images, audio, and video.

3.2 Object identifier (OID) A unique code used to unambiguously identify an object. [Source: GB/T 26231-2017, 3.4, with modifications]

3.3 Information describing the attributes of meteorological digital objects.

Note. It describes a specific meteorological digital object and locates and manages it, making it easier to discover, acquire, and utilize meteorological digital objects.
