Foreword
The revised standard and replaces GB/T 13638-1992 "industrial boiler water level control and alarm devices." The main difference between this standard and GB/T 13638-1992 are as follows:
--- Updated version of normative references.
a) with GB/T 20730.1 industrial process control systems with two or more analog input output instrumentation - Part 1. Performance Evaluation method instead of GB 5010;
b) with GB/T 15464 instrumentation packaging technology instead of ZBY003;
c) with JB/T 9329 Instrumentation transport, transportation, storage and basic environmental conditions and test methods ZBY002;
d) with JB/T 1612 boiler hydrostatic test technical conditions instead of JB1612.

This standard specifies the industrial boiler water level control alarm device product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging And storage. This standard applies to the electrode, magnetic and inductive level sensor (hereinafter referred to as sensors) and the controller of an industrial boiler Level control and alarm system (hereinafter referred to as the water level control device). Sensor-specific technical requirements and test methods in Appendix A (normative).
