This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 10042-2003 "Clutch terminology".

The main technical changes compared with GB/T 10042-2003 are as follows.

1 Scope

This standard defines the terms of the clutch for mechanical contact.

This standard applies to mechanical contact of the clutch.

2.1 Clutch clutch

A device that has a splicing or splitting function when transmitting torque or motion on a coaxial line.

2.2 Manipulate the clutch controledclutch

By engaging, the engaging element has a clutch that engages or separates the function.

2.3 Self-controlled clutch self-controledclutch

The engagement element has a clutch of self-engaging or splitting functions when certain performance parameters are changed in the active or slave parts.

2.4 Mechanical clutch mechanicalycontroledclutch

A clutch with a clutch function under the direct action of a mechanical mechanism.

2.5 Electromagnetic clutch

A clutch with a clutch function under electromagnetic force.

2.6 Hydraulic clutch hydraulicalycontroledclutch

Clutch with clutch function under liquid pressure.

2.7 Pneumatic clutch pneumaticalycontroledclutch

Pneumatic Clutch

A clutch with a clutch function under air pressure.

2.8 Overrunning clutch overrunningclutch

A clutch with a self-clutch function is used for the change of the speed of the main and slave parts or the direction of rotation.

2.9 Centrifugal clutch centrifugalclutch

A clutch with a clutch function under the direct acting force of the centrifugal body.

2.10 Safety clutch safetyclutch

Make sure that the torque delivered or the speed does not exceed a certain value of the clutch.
