Scope

GB 5135.21-2011 is the English-translated version of 自动喷水灭火系统第21部分：末端试水装置.

GB 5135.21-2011 is Part 21 of the Chinese national standard series on automatic sprinkler systems and specifies the terms and definitions, classification, model designation, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, instructions for use, and packaging, transport and storage of inspector's test connections, the devices of test valve, pressure gauge, test nozzle and protective cover used to monitor the end-of-system pressure and check actuation, alarm and interlocking functions.

Devices are classified as manual (S) or electric (D) and with (X) or without a signal feedback device, and are designated in the form ZSPM-80/1.2-DX.

The requirements cover a red protective cover and permanent marking, a rated working pressure not above 1.2 MPa, brass-equivalent corrosion resistance, threaded or grooved connections, flow coefficient tolerances from ±3 for K 57 to ±10 for K 200, strength at 1.5 times and sealing at 1.1 times the rated working pressure, 1 000-cycle operational reliability, a 10-day salt spray test, overload, dielectric strength, insulation resistance above 2 MOmega, contact resistance below 0.1 Omega, operation at ±15% supply voltage and a pressure gauge of class 1.6 or better, with the corresponding test methods and type and factory inspection rules.

Clause 6, Clause 8 and 9.1 are mandatory and the rest are recommended; this is the first edition. It was issued on 30 December 2011 and has been in force since 1 June 2012.

This part was issued on 30 December 2011 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China and the Standardization Administration of China, and took effect on 1 June 2012.

The contents of Clause 6, Clause 8 and 9.1 of this part of GB 5135 are mandatory; the rest are recommended.
