This Standard specifies the inspection items, inspection methods, inspection requirements, and the determination, disposal and data archiving of inspection results for safety technology inspection of motor vehicles. This Standard is applicable to the safety technology inspection of motor vehicles by institutions with inspection and testing qualifications. This Standard is also applicable to the safety technology inspection of inbound motor vehicles by institutions engaged in inspection and testing of inbound motor vehicles. Motor vehicles approved for actual road test and motor vehicles temporarily entering the country may receive the safety technology inspection in accordance with this Standard. This Standard is not applicable to the safety technology inspection of tractors traveling on roads, for example, tractor transport unit.

3 Terms, Definitions and Abbreviations
3.1 Terms and Definitions What is defined in GB 7258 and GA 802, and the following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1.1 Safety inspection of unregistered vehicles Safety inspection of unregistered vehicles refers to safety technology inspection on motor vehicles applying for registration.
3.1.2 Safety inspection of in-use vehicles Safety inspection of in-use vehicles refers to safety technology inspection on already registered motor vehicles.
3.1.3 Inspection of vehicle identification Inspection of vehicle identification refers to the inspection of motor vehicle characteristics, such as.
3.1.4 Inspection of parameters of vehicle characteristics Inspection of parameters of vehicle characteristics refers to the inspection of main vehicle characteristics and technical parameters, such as. overall dimensions, curb weight / net weight and approved passenger capacity, so as to confirm the conformity with technical documents, such as. national safety technical standards of motor vehicles, motor vehicle product announcements, motor vehicle exit-factory certificates and motor vehicle registration certificates, etc.
4 Inspection Items
4.1 Unregistered vehicle safety inspection items are shown in Table
1.In-use motor vehicle safety inspection items are shown in Table 2.
4.2 During the inspection of inbound motor vehicles that need to obtain a motor vehicle license plate to drive on roads. The unregistered vehicle safety inspection items specified in Table 1 shall be covered.
4.3 The safety technology inspection items of special wheeled machinery vehicles and trams shall be determined in accordance with Table 1 and Table 2.
4.4 During the unregistered vehicle safety inspection, the inspection items shall be determined in accordance with the vehicle type approved by GB 7258 and GA 802.
5.1 General Rules
5.1.1 Motor vehicles submitted for inspection shall satisfy the following basic requirements.
5.1.2 During in-use motor vehicle safety inspection, a valid compulsory traffic accident liability insurance certificate (except for trailers and the implementation of electronic insurance policies and insurance information online verification) and a registration certificate of the motor vehicles being submitted for inspection shall be provided.
5.1.3 During safety technology inspection, online query and vehicle uniqueness inspection shall be conducted first.
5.1.4 The minimum inspection time of each station of the safety technology inspection is shown in Table 3.
5.2 Corresponding Methods of Inspection Items The corresponding methods of motor vehicle safety technology inspection items are shown in Table 4.
6 Inspection Requirements
6.1 Online Query During the unregistered motor vehicle safety inspection and n-use motor vehicle safety inspection, conduct online query amount vehicle accidents, law violations and recalls due to safety detects, etc.
6.2.2 Vehicle identification number (or complete-vehicle exit-factory number)

7 Determination, Disposal and Data Archiving of Inspection Results
7.1 Determination of Inspection Results The authorized signatory shall confirm the inspection results item by item and endorse the complete-vehicle inspection conclusion.
7.2.3 Disposal of abnormalities
