1 Scope

GB 30000.30-2025 is the Chinese national standard on specification for classification and labelling of chemicals - part 30: desensitized explosives, in the field of environment and health protection, safety. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 30 June 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 July 2026. Classification: ICS 13.300, CCS A 80. This document specifies the classification, decision logic and labelling of desensitized explosives. This document applies to the desensitization of chemicals in accordance with the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (10th revised edition) (hereinafter referred to as GHS). 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB 30000.1 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 A solid or liquid explosive substance or mixture that has been desensitized to suppress its explosiveness and will not explode as a whole and will not burn rapidly.

Note. Desensitized explosives are not classified in the hazard category of "explosives". Desensitized explosives include solid desensitized explosives and liquid desensitized explosives.

3.2 Explosive substances or mixtures that have been moistened with water or alcohol or diluted with other substances to form a homogeneous solid mixture so that their explosiveness is suppressed compound.

Note. This includes desensitization treatment to form hydrates of the relevant substances.

3.3 Explosive substances or mixtures that are dissolved or suspended in water or other liquid substances to form a homogeneous liquid mixture so that the explosiveness is suppressed compound.
