Scope
GB 20237-2006 is the English-translated version of 起重冶金和屏蔽电机安全要求.
GB 20237-2006 is the mandatory Chinese national standard setting safety requirements for crane and metallurgical motors and for canned motors.
It covers crane and metallurgical duty motors, including those fitted with an eddy current brake, lift motors, the motors of tower cranes and other construction machinery, flat car motors, conical rotor motors and canned motors.
Its scope takes in the drive motors of all kinds of cranes and similar equipment, of metallurgical auxiliary plant, of lifts, of tower cranes and other construction machinery and of flat cars, and canned motors used in the petroleum, chemical and other industries for liquids free of solid particles.
GB 755-2000, GB/T 825-1988, GB 1971-2006, GB/T 2423.4-1993 and GB/T 4207-2003 are quoted in its text. Issued on 30 April 2006, it has applied since 1 January 2007.
