JB/T 2839-2016 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on brush holders and slip rings for motor application. It fixes the types and sizes of RAA coil-spring and DKE pull-spring brush holders, with their technical requirements, inspection rules, marking and packaging, and it also gives the main dimensions and related requirements for the slip ring. It is written for the brush gear and slip rings of metallurgical and lifting duty motors with a rotor winding open-circuit voltage no greater than 660 V for reversible motors and 1320 V for non-reversible ones; other wound-rotor motors may follow it for reference. It quotes GB 755, GB/T 1176, GB/T 8733, GB 20237, JB/T 2361 and JB/T 5779. It supersedes JB/T 2839-2005.
