GB 19965-2005 is the English-translated version of 砖茶含氟量.
GB 19965-2005 is the mandatory Chinese national standard for the fluoride content of brick tea. It fixes the permitted amount of fluoride in brick tea and gives the method by which that fluoride is detected.
The standard serves the monitoring and supervision of fluoride content in brick tea in production and in sale, and it is also used by the health sector for monitoring tea-borne fluorosis areas and evaluating the control measures applied there.
GB/T 8302-2002 is quoted in its text. It was issued by the Ministry of Health together with the national standardization body and carries the Chinese classification C53. Issued on 18 October 2005, it has applied since 1 May 2006.
