1 Scope

GB/T 46946-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the disease classification of Tibetan medicine - the categories of the Four Tantras and their subdivisions, each with a code, so that Tibetan medicine diagnoses can be recorded, counted and reimbursed in the same information systems as everything else. At 66,000 words it is a complete classification, and it is the kind of document that decides whether a traditional medical system survives inside a modern health service. First edition. 4 Compilation Principles

4.1 Classification of Diseases in Tibetan Medicine Adhering to the core theories of Tibetan medicine, meeting the clinical diagnostic needs of Tibetan medicine, and referencing the development trends of international and domestic medical terminology documents, this study aims to improve Tibetan medicine. Disease names and terms are classified and compiled.

4.2 Tibetan Medicine Disease Categories The disease terms in the Secret Manual of the Four Medical Classics are divided into 15 categories. terms related to three major genetic diseases, terms related to internal medicine diseases, and terms related to febrile diseases.
