Scope
GB 19814-2005 is the English-translated version of 分离机 安全要求.
GB 19814-2005 specifies the safety requirements to be observed in the design, manufacture, installation, use and maintenance of industrial disc, tubular and chamber separators, together with the methods for inspecting and assessing their safety performance.
It refers each type of separator to its product standard, lists the main hazards arising from design, manufacture, selection and use, and sets requirements on frequency and strength checks, guards, lifting, noise and vibration, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, explosion protection, temperature rise, materials, welding of the bowl (no longitudinal welds, 100% radiography, no more than 2 repairs on the same spot, records kept 7 years), non-destructive testing to JB 4730-1994 and JB/T 9095, dynamic balancing, electrical equipment to GB/T 5226.1-2002, product records and overhaul intervals.
It also sets out the information for use - nameplates, direction-of-rotation plates, warning signs and the content of the instructions for use - and the safety performance assessment by random sampling of 1 or 2 units against a table of key inspection items.
Clauses 6 to 9 and normative Annex A are mandatory, the rest recommended; it replaces JB 8686-1998. It was issued on 27 June 2005 and has been in force since 1 December 2005.
