Scope
GB 14371-2024 is the English-translated version of 危险品 爆炸品的认可和分项试验程序及配装要求.
GB 14371 is the procedure by which an explosive substance or article is admitted to transport in China and assigned to a hazard division and a compatibility group. It sets the acceptance procedure, the series of tests that decide whether a substance is too dangerous to carry at all and, if not, which of the divisions 1.1 to 1.6 it belongs to, and the compatibility groups A to S that determine what may be loaded together with it. It is the document a manufacturer of explosives, a testing laboratory and a carrier all work from, and it aligns China's classification with the UN model regulations. Issued on 23 August 2024, in force since 1 September 2025, replacing GB 14371-2013. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the edition it replaces are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are not reproduced on this page - they are in the document itself, which is delivered in full in English translation.

This document replaces GB 14371-2013 "Approval and sub-item test procedures and packing requirements for explosives for transport of dangerous goods" and Compared with GB 14371-2013, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical content changes are as follows:
a) The explosives sub-item test procedure has been changed (see Figure 3, Figure 3 of the.2013 edition);
b) The test procedure for Group 8 has been changed (see Figure 4, Figure 4 of the.2013 edition);
c) The test procedures for the sub-items of
1.6 items have been changed (see Figure 5, Figure 5 of the.2013 edition);
d) In the third group of test items, the 75°C simulated stack spontaneous ignition temperature (SBAT) thermal stability test method is added (see Table 3);
e) Susan impact test and brittleness test were added to the test items of group 7 (see Table 3);
f) Added the minimum self-sustaining combustion pressure test to the 8th test group (see Table 3);
g) Added approval and sub-test procedures for desensitized explosives, added a 9th group test item, burning rate test (see Chapter 8).
