4 Hazard identification and risk assessment
4.1 General
4.1.1 operating characteristics and operating characteristics of the robot other machinery and equipment has obvious differences.
a) robot capable of operating space high-energy movement;
b), for example due to changes in the operational requirements, the initial motion of the robot arm and the path is uncertain and may change;
Operating space c) robots, and other robots can maneuver or other machines and related equipment workspace partially
overlapping;
d) when the machine actuator is energized, the operator may be required to work close to the robot system.
4.1.2 Prior to the selection and design of appropriate security measures to take to reduce the risk, there is a need to identify hazards and assess and robot
Risks associated with its use. Reduce the risk of technical measures have the following basic principles.
a) eliminate the hazard by design or by reducing the risk of substitution;
b) to prevent contact with hazardous or operator before the operator exposure to hazardous Hazardous safe state;
c) During the intervention to reduce the risk (for example. Teach).
4.1.3 implement these principles include.
a) design allows to perform tasks outside the space robot system security;
b) to create a safe and protected space defined space;
c) When in the security space needs intervention, provide additional security.
The design and options and their associated application 4.1.4 This type of robot and other machines and related equipment, will affect the security measures
select. These should be consistent with the current work, and can teach when necessary, setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting procedures to verify the operation safely
get on.
4.2 Layout Design
Layout robotic systems and units is to eliminate the danger and risk reduction key. In the layout design process should consider the following
factor.
a) establishing unit or the physical limits of the line (D), including a larger unit or system (Integrated Manufacturing System) Other components.
1) to determine the proportion and origin of the layout of the design drawings;
2) to determine the location and size of the various components of the existing facilities within the (pro rata).
b) work space, and the gap passage.
1) Determine the maximum space robot system, the establishment and operation of space limited space, such as determining plant pillars around the obstacle
The desired gap;
2) travel routes (walkways, visitors line, cell or line perimeter security guard outside the material handling);
3) support channel and secure path facilities (electricity, gas, water, vacuum, hydraulic, ventilation equipment) and control systems;
4) maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting and maintenance of channels and secure path;
5) Cable/other causes slip, trip and fall risk factors;
6) cable tray.
c) manual intervention --- layout should allow execution of tasks require manual intervention outside the safety space, if the above is not feasible and
When the machine needs to intervene live sports, it should be provided to enable a suitable device so that the device can be designed to control.
1) the entire robot cell;
2) a robot cell area;
3) unit selected machine or device.
NOTE. More see ISO 12100.
d) equipment ergonomics and human-computer interface.
1) the visibility of the operation;
2) control means clarity;
3) and the robot control device expressly incorporated;
4) The control design practices;
5) position of the workpiece relative to the operator;
6) foreseeable misuse;
7) cooperative operation.
e) Environmental conditions.
1) ventilation;
2) welding sparks.
f) workpiece/tool changer loading and unloading.
g) perimeter security considerations.
h) emergency stop device and the unit may be regional position and requirements (for example. partial or full stop unit stops).
i) the requirements of the position and energy devices.
j) Note the intended use of all components.
Risk assessment should determine additional space required beyond the confined space to delineate security space.
4.3 Risk Assessment
4.3.1 General
Since the robot system is always integrated into a particular application, and therefore should be integrated risk assessment to determine the risk reduction
Measures that reduce the risk to be able to fully integrated applications that exist. Examples of particular note are. In order to achieve integrated applications, a
Do not go to the machine in addition to the security situation.
Risk assessment can be performed with a systematic analysis and robotic systems related to the entire life cycle (ie, test run, adjusted, production, maintenance
Care, maintenance, scrap) risk assessment.
When every need, risk assessment after measures to reduce risk. Repeat this process through the implementation of protective measures and try to eliminate the risk of
Reduce the risk of an iterative process.
Risk assessment includes.
a) to determine the limits of the robot system (see 4.3.2);
b) hazard identification (see 4.4);
c) risk assessment;
d) Risk Assessment.
Restrictions 4.3.2 Robot System
Robot system integration, first in ISO 12100, ISO 11161 and other applicable Class C standard describes its intended use
Specifications and limits. The specification should include, for example.
a) Restrictions.
1) function, intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse of the description;
2) Description of modes of different users;
3) includes a process of manual intervention sequence analysis;
4) description of interfaces, tools and equipment;
Note 1. It is recommended for these devices should take into account the relevant class C standard.
5) utility connections;
6) derived from ISO 10218-1 use the information provided by the manufacturer, including the application of risk reduction measures;
7) power supply and equipment required;
8) required or expected user skills (ability).
b) space limitations (see 5.5 layout description).
1) machine movements desired range;
2) Installation and maintenance space needed;
3) The operator jobs and other manual intervention required space;
4) Reconstruc...
