Foreword

This document was drafted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents".

This document replaces FZ/T 73017-2014 "Knitted homeware". Compared with FZ/T 73017-2014, the main technical changes are as follows:

- CHANGE the normative references (see Chapter 2; Chapter 2 of the 2014 edition);

- ADD the definition of homeware (see Chapter 3);

- ADD the marking principles for out-of-range sizes (see Chapter 4);

- CHANGE the assessment indicators of the distortion rate after washing (see Table

- CHANGE the assessment indicators of color fastness to wet rubbing (see Table 1;

- ADD the assessment indicators of the degree of staining by washing liquid (see Table 1);

- CHANGE the requirements for appearance quality after washing (see Table 1;

- ADD the description of the assessment requirements for color fastness of natural color and bleached products (see footnote d of Table 1);

- ADD that children's homeware shall also comply with the requirements of GB after washing (see Figure 2 and Table 5; Figure 2 and Table 5 of the 2014 edition);

- CHANGE the test method for splicing dying color fastness (see 6.1.2.13; Appendix

- ADD the test method for the degree of staining by washing liquid (see 6.1.2.14);

- ADD the result determination and single piece determination (see 8.1.3 and 8.2);

- ADD the provisions of GB 31701 for product instructions for use (see 9.1; 7.1 of

- DELETE Appendix A (see Appendix A of the 2014 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, product types, requirements, tests, sampling rules, judgment rules, product instructions, packaging, transportation, storage of knitted homeware.

This document applies to homeware made mainly of knitted fabrics.

This document does not apply to infant clothing for children aged 36 months and below.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Homeware

Clothing mainly suitable for home wear, including pajamas, home leisure clothes, etc.

4 Product size

It follows the requirements of GB/T 6411 or GB/T 1335 (all parts). The size beyond the standard range shall be increased or decreased in sequence, according to the grade value and principle specified in the standard.

5 Requirements

5.1 Grading rules

5.1.1 Quality grades are divided into superior products, first-class products, qualified products.

5.1.2 Intrinsic quality is graded by batches; appearance quality is graded by piece; the combination of the two is graded based on the lowest grade.

5.1.4 When appearance quality problems of different grades are found on the same product, the lowest grade shall be adopted. Only two limit surface defects of the same grade are allowed on the same product. If more than two defects are found, the product shall be downgraded by one grade.

5.2 Intrinsic quality requirements

5.2.1 See Table 1 for intrinsic quality requirements.

g Pilling is only assessed on the front side of the product. Products with brushed, raised, flocked, hollowed-out front sides are not assessed for pilling.

5.2.2 Color classification shall be carried out according to GSB 16-2159: if it is > 1/12 standard depth, it is dark color; if it is ≤ 1/12 standard depth, it is light color.

5.2.3 Children's homeware shall also meet the relevant requirements of GB 31701.

5.3 Appearance quality requirements

6.1 Internal quality inspection

6.1.2.1 Fiber content

6.1.2.2 Formaldehyde content

It is performed according to the requirements of GB/T 2912.1.

6.1.2.3 pH value

It is performed according to the requirements of GB/T 7573.

6.1.2.5 Decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes

It is performed according to the requirements of GB/T 17592.

6.1.2.6 Bursting strength

It is performed according to the requirements of GB/T 19976-2005; the diameter of the steel ball is (38 ± 0.02) mm.

6.1.2.7 Size change rate after washing

6.1.2.7.1 Measurement parts

For tops, robes, skirts, the body length and chest circumference are used as the vertical and lateral measurement parts. The body length (vertical) is calculated based on the average value of the left and right sides of the front and back body; the chest circumference (lateral) is calculated based on the measurement value of the front body; for pants, the average value of the left and right trouser lengths is used as the vertical calculation basis, whilst the average value of the left and right mid-leg widths is used as the lateral calculation basis. Make marks when measuring, so that you can measure after washing. See Figure 1 for the measurement area of the top, Figure 2 for the measurement area of the pants, Figure 3 for the measurement area of the robe, Figure 4 for the measurement area of the skirt.

6.1.2.7.2 Measurement instructions for washing dimensions

See Table 5 for measurement instructions for washing dimensions.

6.1.2.7.3 Washing procedures

Follow the provisions of the 4N procedure of the A-type washing machine in GB/T 8629-2017. For products that clearly indicate "hand wash only", follow the 4H procedure of the A-type washing machine in GB/T 8629-2017. The detergent used is "Standard detergent 3". The number of test pieces is three pieces (pcs); the number of washes is one time.

6.1.2.7.5 Result calculation

Calculate the vertical and lateral washing dimensional change rates according to formula (1). The negative sign (-) indicates dimensional shrinkage and the positive sign (+) indicates dimensional elongation (reverse expansion). The arithmetic mean of the three specimens is taken as the test result. […]

6.1.2.8 Distortion rate after washing

6.1.2.8.2 Measurement method of distortion rate after washing

Lay the washed garment flat on a smooth table; pat it flat with hands. Each garment is measured on the side with the largest degree of distortion, as shown in Figures 5 and 6. All data are calculated based on the measurement after washing. If distortion exists before washing, it must be marked and noted in the report. […]

6.1.2.9 Color fastness to soap washing

It is performed according to test method A (1) in GB/T 3921-2008.

6.1.2.10 Color fastness to water

It is performed according to GB/T 5713.

6.2 Appearance quality

7 Sampling rules

7.1 Random take 4 samples for intrinsic quality by batch, type and color; if it is not enough, it may increase the number of samples.

7.2 Randomly take 1% ~ 3% for appearance quality by batch, type and color,, but not less than 20 pieces.

8 Judgment rules

8.1 Batch size judgment

The non-conforming product rate of appearance quality is calculated by type and color category. […]

8.1.3 Result determination

8.2 Single piece determination

If the number of product inspection pieces is lower than the number of sampling pieces for batch determination, the intrinsic quality and appearance quality shall be determined only for the inspected products in accordance with 8.1, meanwhile it shall be noted in the inspection report.

8.4 Re-inspection

8.4.1 If any party has objections to the inspection results, they may request re-inspection.

9 Product use instructions, packaging, transportation, storage

9.1 Product use instructions shall be implemented in accordance with GB/T 5296.4; children's products shall be implemented in accordance with GB/T 5296.4 and GB 31701.
