Scope
QC/T 61-2008 is the English-translated version of 摩托车和轻便摩托车发动机强化试验技术要求及试验方法.
QC/T 61-2008 is a recommended standard of the Chinese automotive industry and concerns the accelerated test used to assess engines for motorcycles and mopeds. It sets out the technical requirements for that test and the methods by which it is run on a test bench.
It covers spark ignition engines, that is reciprocating piston gasoline engines fitted to motorcycles and mopeds, while engines for racing machines are excluded.
It quotes GB/T 5363, GB 14621 and GB/T 20076. The standard replaces QC/T 61-1993. Issued on 4 June 2008, it has applied since 1 November 2008.
