Scope
QC/T 1137-2020 is the English-translated version of 汽车包边玻璃.
QC/T 1137-2020 covers encapsulated glazing for road vehicles, specifying terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, marking, transportation and storage.
It applies to encapsulated glazing produced by injection moulding and not to glazing produced by tape bonding. It is an automobile industry standard under ICS 43.040.60.
The terms clause names the encapsulation surface defects the appearance requirements work with, among them shrink marks, flow marks, gas marks, weld bonds and white lines.
Requirements cover appearance quality, size, goodness of fit, bonding performance, low and high temperature resistance, humidity resistance, temperature cycling, xenon lamp aging, chemical and pollution resistance, and flame resistance.
Xenon lamp aging and chemical resistance both demand no cracking, chalking, bubbles or sticking and a grey scale not lower than Level-4, pollution resistance allows no traces or light-yellow contamination outlines on the test panel, and the burning speed shall not exceed 70 mm/min.
Specimens are products conditioned at least 72 h at 20 degrees C plus or minus 5 degrees C and 40% to 80% relative humidity.
The exposures are minus 40 degrees C plus or minus 2 degrees C for 48 h, 85 degrees C plus or minus 3 degrees C for 168 h, and 50 degrees C plus or minus 3 degrees C at 95% plus or minus 4% relative humidity for 240 h, each followed by bonding strength tests.
Chemical resistance uses window cleaning fluid, gasoline to GB 17930 and diesel to GB 19147; flame resistance follows GB 8410.
