It covers the general and technical requirements for these directly fired boilers, their inspection and testing, painting, packaging, marking and accompanying documents, and the requirements for installation, use, acceptance and quality responsibility.

It applies to steam and hot water boilers burning solid biomass alone, with a rated evaporation of 35 t/h to 180 t/h or a rated thermal power of 29 MW to 116 MW, and boilers of other capacities may follow it by reference.
