Scope
NB/T 34036-2020 is the English-translated version of 小型生物质锅炉试验方法.
NB/T 34036-2020 is the companion Chinese energy industry test method for small biomass-briquette atmospheric hot water boilers rated from 0.05 MW to 0.7 MW with outlet water up to 85 °C. It defines rated heating power, heat input, heat output and thermal efficiency, and requires qualified laboratories to measure thermal performance and air pollutant emissions at the same time.
The thermal test uses the direct (input-output) method over at least 3 hours, run twice, with fuel sampling to NY/T 1879 and NY/T 1880, set accuracy for scales, flow meters and thermometers, and formulas for rated power and efficiency.
Emission sampling follows GB 5468 or GB/T 16157, quality control follows HJ/T 373, and the content of the test report is listed. It replaces NB/T 34036-2016; issued on 23 October 2020, it has applied since 1 February 2021.
