NB/T 25043.6-2016 is Part 6 of a recommended Chinese energy industry specification for building the conventional island and balance of plant of nuclear power stations, and it is devoted to piping.

It states the technical requirements for pipework construction in the conventional island and its auxiliary facilities. The part covers new, extended and rebuilt plants of 600 MW and above per unit, and smaller plants may apply it by reference.

Process pipes of cast iron or reinforced concrete, of non-metallic materials such as plastic or glass reinforced plastic, of non-ferrous metals such as titanium or copper, and lined, composite or otherwise special pipes fall outside it.

It is read with the companion parts NB/T 25043.1, 25043.2 and 25043.4, and it quotes GB/T 9124, GB/T 9125, DL/T 515 and NB/T 20030. Issued on 5 December 2016, it has applied since 1 May 2017.
