Conventional component colours and the identification of piping in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants are settled by NB/T 20030-2010, a recommended standard of the Chinese energy industry.

It fixes the usual colours for plant equipment and pipework and the method by which pipes are identified. Its rules serve to determine the colour of the surface coating on equipment and pipes in PWR plants and the identification of those pipes, and other nuclear projects may refer to them.

The colour reference GSB 05-1426-2001 and the French standard NF X08-002-1983 are quoted. Issued on 1 May 2010, it has applied since 1 October 2010.
