NB/T 20442.3-2017 is the third part of the recommended Chinese energy industry guideline on the periodic safety review of nuclear power plants, and it takes the procedures as its safety factor.

For that element it specifies the purpose, the scope, the content, the methods and the process of the review. It applies to the review of the procedural element within a periodic safety review, and what it prescribes is set out for a pressurized water reactor plant, with other nuclear power plants able to use it as a reference.

It draws on the nuclear safety guide HAD 103/11. The Chinese class F65 and the international class 27.120.99 situate it among the nuclear plant safety documents. Issued on 1 April 2017, it has applied since 1 October 2017.
