NB/T 20442.2-2017 is the part of the recommended Chinese energy industry guideline on periodic safety review of nuclear power plants that deals with safety performance.

It fixes the purpose, scope, content, method and process of the periodic review of the safety performance element, and applies to the examination of that element when a plant is reviewed.

Its provisions are written with a pressurized water reactor plant as the worked case, other nuclear power plants being able to follow them as a reference. The nuclear safety guide HAD 103/11 is quoted as the document it works with.

It carries the Chinese classification F65 and the international class 27.120.99. Issued on 1 April 2017, it has applied since 1 October 2017.
