NB/T 20401-2017 is the English-translated version of 核电厂初步设计文件内容深度规定.
NB/T 20401-2017 is a recommended Chinese energy industry standard that fixes what the preliminary design documents of a nuclear power plant must contain and how far into detail they must go.
It sets the required content and the depth of treatment for the design documentation produced at that stage of a nuclear power project, so that the papers handed over cover the plant consistently whichever design organisation prepares them.
The standard carries the Chinese classification F65 and was published by the National Energy Administration for use by the institutes and owners who write and review such documents.
It quotes GB/T 50001, GB/T 50105, GB 50745, NB/T 20023, NB/T 20024 and NB/T 20025. Issued on 10 February 2017, it has applied since 1 July 2017.
