NB/T 20299-2014 is the English-translated version of 核电厂温排水环境影响评价技术规范.
NB/T 20299-2014 is the Chinese energy industry standard that governs the assessment of the environmental impact of thermal discharge from nuclear power plants. It sets the principles, the methods and the requirements applied when the heat a plant releases to its receiving waters is evaluated.
Both inland sites and coastal sites fall within its coverage. Chinese classification F70 and international classification 27.120.10 place it with nuclear energy and the environment rather than with plant hardware.
