NB/T 20307-2014 is the English-translated version of 核电厂冷却塔环境影响评价技术规范.
The environmental impact assessment of cooling towers at nuclear power plants is governed by NB/T 20307-2014, a recommended standard of the Chinese energy industry.
It fixes the principles such an assessment follows and the methods and requirements that go with them. Its scope takes in cooling towers of every type at newly built and extended nuclear power plants, both inland and coastal.
The standard is applied alongside GB 3096, GB 12348, HJ/T 2.3 and HJ 2.4. The National Energy Administration issued it under Chinese classification F70 and international classification 27.120.10. Issued on 29 June 2014, it has applied since 1 November 2014.
