NB/T 20293-2014 is the recommended Chinese energy industry standard that lays down the procedure for siting a nuclear power plant. It defines the stages of the siting work, the scope of that work, the content of the investigations to be carried out, and the evaluation criteria and technical requirements applied to a candidate site.
Nuclear power plant siting is its field of application, and the siting of other nuclear installations may refer to it. It is classified F63 in China and 27.120.99 internationally, and it quotes GB 6249, GB 18306, NB/T 20033, NB/T 20034 and the HAD 101 series of siting guides.
The standard replaces EJ/T 1127-2001. Issued on 29 June 2014, it has applied since 1 November 2014.
