Scope
NB/T 20194-2012 is the English-translated version of 压水堆核电厂辐射屏蔽设计准则.
NB/T 20194-2012 is the recommended Chinese energy industry standard that sets the design criterion for radiation shielding in pressurised water reactor nuclear power plants.
It states the basic requirements that the shielding design has to satisfy, and it is meant for the radiation shielding design of PWR plants as a whole rather than for any single building or component.
The document carries the Chinese classification F69 and the international classification 27.120.10, which covers nuclear power plant safety. It quotes GB 18871-2002 and GB/T 13976-2008.
It replaces EJ/T 317-1998, the earlier nuclear industry standard on the same subject. Issued on 19 October 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
