NB/T 20133.6-2012 is the sixth part of the Chinese energy industry series on protective coatings for pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, and it governs the coating work itself.
It states the requirements for pretreating the surface of the substrate, for applying and controlling the coating and for inspecting it once applied. The part applies to coating operations on the facilities and equipment of PWR plants, but it does not cover the coating of stainless steel.
It is read with the opening part of the series, NB/T 20133.1, and it quotes GB 6514, GB 8923-1988, GB/T 8923.2-2008, GB/T 8923.3-2009, GB/T 9286, GB/T 13288, GB/T 13452.2 and ASTM D3359. Issued on 6 January 2012, it has applied since 6 April 2012.
