Scope
NB/T 20396-2017 is the English-translated version of 压水堆核电厂核安全有关的钢结构施工规范.
Steel structures related to nuclear safety in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants are built to NB/T 20396-2017, a recommended Chinese energy industry standard.
It specifies the construction requirements for those structures and applies to both the primary and the secondary steel structures of such a plant, while other nuclear facilities may follow it as a reference.
It does not apply to the stainless steel linings of pools and rooms, to steel components anchored in concrete, or to the construction of the containment steel liner and its related components.
The text is used with GB/T 1231-2006, GB/T 2101-2008, GB 50205, GB 50661-2011, GB 50755-2012, JGJ 82-2011, NB/T 20002.6, NB/T 20133.1-2012 and NB/T 20133.6-2012, alongside the HAF 003 and HAD 003/07 regulatory documents. Issued on 10 February 2017, it has applied since 1 July 2017.
