NB/T 20133.3-2012 is the Chinese energy industry standard, recommended in status, that gives the laboratory test method for the effects of gamma radiation on protective coatings used in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants.
It covers the evaluation of a coating system for the radiation it receives during normal plant operation over the design life, and for the radiation associated with a design basis accident.
Both the dose rate and the cumulative dose reaching the coating system of a PWR plant are addressed. It quotes GB/T 700, GB/T 1766, GB 8076, GB 8923-1988 and GB/T 9271-2008, and forms the third part of the NB/T 20133 series on protective coatings.
It replaced EJ/T 1111-2000. Issued on 6 January 2012, it has applied since 6 April 2012.
