NB/T 20008.3-2012 is the recommended Chinese energy industry standard for copper-aluminium alloy castings in nuclear power plant auxiliary systems. Part 3 of the series on other materials for pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, it deals with the class 3 castings used in auxiliary system pumps and valves.

Its scope is the impellers of class 3 pumps and the copper-aluminium alloy castings of the various valves in those systems.

Mechanical testing and chemical analysis are carried out to the quoted GB/T 228.1-2010, GB/T 229-2007, GB/T 231.1-2009, the GB/T 5121 series for copper alloy analysis, YS/T 449 and ASTM E272, while NB/T 20003.2, NB/T 20003.3, NB/T 20003.4 and NB/T 20003.7 supply the examination rules. Issued on 6 January 2012, it has applied since 6 April 2012.
